Tiny star shaped flowers turning from green to red rise from upright stems amongst pretty rosettes of basil green foliage veined with burgundy red
Flowers bloom from June to August, followed by dark brown fruit
A native perennial which thrives in a sunny spot but can also deal with a little shade
Plant at the edges of a pond, in a bog or water garden or a wet border
Mainly prized for its foliage - remove the flower heads to preserve the red leaf veining
