  • An attractive, compact tree with heavy crops of large, dark purple fruit and unusually large blossom for a plum tree
  • A traditional culinary plum dating from the 1870s
  • Crops from early August through September
  • Self fertile and one of the easiest plums to grow
  • Winner of the RHS Award of Garden Merit and Plants for Pollinators
  • Ideal for growing in less favourable conditions - Czar will even fruit on a north facing wall
  • Our trees are professionally pruned before dispatching. This formative pruning can involve cutting the main leader, if the expert tree growers decide this will produce a better shaped tree. This can stop the tree becoming "leggy", and promote stronger, bushier growth.MORE
